Rarely have I seen this truism borne out more vividly than in the Butterworth Gallery's presentation of Mr. Moskoff's recent works. Only those who have been privileged to see Marcus' fingers flying deftly over the gudulka strings can understand how eloquently, passionately and skillfully he has translated his most profound emotions to a new mode of expression. Future art historians will carve upon the rock of History the names of only a handful of true Renaissance men from the 20th century: Picasso...Butterworth...Moskoff. (Butterworth? Why, yes! If you would only share it with the world, I have no doubt that your draftsmanship would approach, nay, even equal, that of Marcus.) M. P. Gordon
